Location

The most beautiful island of Greece, Santorini is world famous for the impressive caldera and the romantic sunset. Located in the southern side of the Aegean Sea, Santorini took its present crescent shape after the severe earthquake that hit the island at about 1,650 B.C. The lava of this earthquake covered the prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri in Santorini and the tsunami waves destroyed the Minoan settlement of Knossos in northern Crete.

Today, Santorini is among the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It amazes visitors at first sight with the traditional villages on top of the caldera, the gorgeous view to the Aegean Sea, the still active volcano and the romantic sunset in Oia. The perfect destination for all ages, Santorini can be accessed by plane and ferry from Athens or by charter flight from abroad.

Fira is the capital village of Santorini. Built on the edge of the caldera, every spot of Fira has great view to the sea and the volcano of Santorini. This is a lovely town with traditional Cycladic architecture, small white houses and paved alleys.

In Fira, you can find many restaurants, cafeterias, bars, shops and all kind of tourist services. This is a convenient place to stay during your visit as the bus to all beaches and villages around the island leaves from Fira. From the old port of Fira, you can also get the excursion boat to the volcano and the hot springs.

Located just 80 m from the main square of Fira, Apartments Antonia and within walking distance of the bus station connecting to the main Santorini attractions. The island’s airport is a 10-minute drive away.
